The Dundee Fire Department received a grant that will cover replacement costs of their 14 SCBA’s (air packs). The total cost of the project is $77,000 of which the Federal Grant share of 95% is $73,150 and the Town’s share of 5% is $3,850.  The new SCBA’s will be an upgrade from the current equipment utilized by the Department.  Mask microphones, lighter air tanks and a heads-up display (HUD) to show tank air levels are just a few of the attributes of the new SCBA’s.  Congratulations to the Fire Department for receiving alternative funding that improves firefighter safety in their service to the citizens of Dundee.

The Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is asking Dundee residents to use the TPO’s new live mapping system to voice concerns, upload pictures and share feedback on what you and your neighbors are saying about roads, trails and transit in Dundee.  From your phone, tablet or computer you can easily pinpoint where you see the opportunity for a transportation improvement and check back frequently to see other people’s ideas and proposals. Your comments will be added to the TPO’s Long Range Transportation Plan and shared with TPO staff, municipal planners and the TPO Board.
