The Dundee Public Library and Carl’s Game station, have initiated an After School Card-Deck Program, which is sponsored across the nation by trading card and game producers Konami Inc . This program taps into one of the favorite pastimes among young children today, kids of all ages, but specifically those aged between eight to fourteen years of age, with the chance to participate in and learn all of the gaming strategies associated with the games of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and all of the brand- name games known within the genre.

Hosted as a twice-weekly event at the Dundee Public Library, the days during which the program will be an action, are Wednesdays and Thursdays, between the hours of 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.  Providing the tuition on each occasion will be an employee from Carl’s Game station,  with the goal being, getting the children to not only learn the nuances of the games mentioned, but also providing them a safe environment to interact with others and making new friends. Carl’s Game station will also be looking to host on-site tournaments at their store located in the Town of Dundee, Florida,.

The Dundee Public Library and Carl’s Game station are still accepting the names of children wishing to participate in this program and it should be noted the parents’ permission or a caregiver’s permission has to be granted before a child is accepted in this program. For further information on the After School Card-Deck program, you can call either Dundee Public Library or Carl’s Game station at the numbers listed below:

We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards. During September 2015, we failed to collect the correct number of follow up samples for a failed; Total Coliform, test and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time.

Inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms. These organisms include bacteria, viruses, and parasites which can cause system such as nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and associated headaches.

The table below lists the contaminants we inadvertently did not completely sample for, when samples should have been taken, and the date which follow-up samples were taken.

Contaminant
Total Coliform
Should have been taken
3 follow up samples should have been taken. One at the sample location along with one up stream and one downstream. September 14,2015
Samples were taken
Only one sample was taken at the original location September 14,2015
The one follow up sample passed along with the October and November 2015 samples.

What should I do?

There is nothing you need to do at this time. You do not need to boil your water or take other corrective actions. You may continue to drink the water.

What happened?

The Town of Dundee collected and sampled as required. However, we failed to collect the correct number of follow-up samples.

What is being done?

The Town of Dundee resumed monthly Total Coliform sampling in October 2015_.

Please share this information with other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly. (For example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses.)
